I can't believe I am staying up for this. I'm here, tyring to keep myself awake so I can start my next two flights which will allow me to buy my 5th plane on Airline Manager.

Stats in the game so far:

Fleet: 4
Stock Rate: 3.358

Fleet:
Boeing 737 - 1 Route: Sydney - Kuala Lumpur
Boeing 737 - Arcee Route: Stockholm - Dhaka
ERJ 190 - Skids Route: Mexico City - Lima
BAe146 - Prowl Route: Rome - Stockholm

:D My long hauls are earning me tons of money. XD I am just waiting for the time where I can buy a Concorde ($400 million!) and I can name it either of the following: Jetfire, Starscream or Megatron. I haven't decided yet. I'm leaning towards Jetfire though.

Other than that, I'm sleeping over Melissa's new palce tomorrow. Bringing lots of DVDs then watching Harry Potter the next day.

Too addicting, in fact.

My friends and I pretty much took it to the next level this afternoon.

We have designed a system where we can notify each other of cheap deals on Fuel and advertising. Some of us have planned out our future aircraft purchases and new routes.

We can't go more than 5 minutes without checking our flights, even though we know it won't be another 3 hours till you can update it. We also obsessively check our stocks.

It's even worse for people who has phones that has a data plan. *coughMEcough*

Dan and Emily recently introduced me to the Facebook App called "Airline Manager". Now I am obsessively checking on my planes and have been non-stop playing.

I think I jumped the gun in buying my 2nd plane. Having that small plane is not so profitable for me right now... I think I'll sell it again. *sigh* I'm horrible at managing money, even game money.

Sam and Diane, Ross and Rachel, Chuck and Blair—who is your favorite TV couple?

View other answers

Right now? Chase/Cameron from House. :P They're just the most recent I went crazy over.

As for favorite couples per series (only listed are those I can remember off the top of my head right now...)

Mark/Lexie, Derek/Addison (Grey's); Nate/Vanessa, Chuck/Blair (Gossip Girl); Awesome/Ellie (Chuck); Barney/Robin (HIMYM); Max/Casey (Greek); Matt/Julie (FNL); Ryan/Taylor, Seth/Summer (The OC); Ross/Rachel, Chandler/Monica (FRIENDS); Lee/Kara (BSG);

............ Those are from series I can remember off the top of my head right now.

I rewatched The Hangover with my brother tonight. Both of us agree that we found Knocked Up funnier. We definitely laughed harder in Knocked Up than The Hangover... I thought it was just me. :P

As I said on my Facebook status, there's nothing better than bonding with ones baby brother while watching The O.C.

For some weird reason, marathoning The O.C. has become a thing between my brother and I. It, of course, all started when I bought the season 1 DVDs, not having watch the show before and have only heard of it... Both of us stayed up for pretty much 24 hours straight to finish the whole season 1.

The same happened for season 2, and I would love to say it happened to season 3 as well, but as I said in my previous entry, I decided to skip that season and bought the season 4 DVDs instead.

So, we spent all of Friday night/Saturday morning (11 pm - 3 am) watching the first few episodes of The O.C. season 4, then finished it up after eating lunch this afternoon/evening.

*sigh*

I miss The O.C. and Taylor Townsend's crazy stalking tactics. We were totally LOLing when she was stalking Ryan in a groundhog costume. Hahaha...

Then Seth and Summer. Oh Seth. You never grew up.

Then Ryan. I never really liked Ryan much, mostly because he was in this constant state of negative thoughts (and Marissa *rolls eyes*) in the seasons before the 4th, but in this season... Ryan was more light hearted, and had less angst.

(LOL of course, there's Taylor. The most angst he had to deal with when with her was deciding whether he should tell her he loves her or not :P!)

But yeah. It was just nostalgic watching Season 4 again. I just wish it was still running since it is still one of my favorite teen shows. :P

To celebrate Canada Day, I slept at around 12 am and woke up at 1 pm the next day. HURRAH! Usually I feel so tired after sleeping that long, but I woke up so well rested.

Afterwards, I ended up watching My Sister's Keeper with my mom, and the whole theatre, including myself, were bawling our eyes out. Seriously. It was such a good movie, but it was just heartbreaking on so many levels.

I have a copy of the novel, but I have never read it. I will read it now.

My friend told me that they changed the ending, so I'm kinda glad that I watched the movie first. Sometimes, your perception of a movie will change if you have read the original thing it was based on... I know I felt that way with A Walk to Remember, so in a way, I'm glad I wasn't judging the film based on how it adapted the book, but now I will read it.

She's also forcing me to read The Time Traveler's Wife before we watch the movie. >_> Guh.

Whatevs, anyway. On to TV watching.

I started watching The Legend of the Seeker and............. it's been pretty bad so far. I'm just on episode 4 or 5? And man I'm having a hard time keeping myself interested in it.

It didn't immediately captivate me like Merlin did... and I don't know, I feel like the whole episode just drags and ... guh... something about Kahlan is rubbing me the wrong way.

In other news, I finally bought Friday Night Lights season 2 and 3 on DVD! Time to watch~~~ Also got The O.C. season 4. LOL! I have The O.C. Season 1, 2, and 4 on DVD... yes. Noticeably missing season 3 because I did not enjoy that season at all, even though I've only seen a couple of episodes here and there. I loved Season 4 though soooooooooo time for me to rewatch~ Hee!

I miss The O.C. :(

First of all.. TRANSFORMERS 2: REVENGE OF THE FALLEN rocked so much BUM!

I watched it twice already...

First during opening night with my brother, on an IMAX screening, where we lined up 3 hours before the movie started, yet we still barely got decent seats... but the movie was worth all that.

The second time was with my friend and her boyfriend + his friends.. and it was still fun!

I went to watch it expecting lots of robot action, lots of robots and the awesomeness of William Lennox... and I got just that, and maybe more!

the things I liked )

Other than the characters? Really it was all the action that made me love this movie. I feel the plot dragged along. I really didn't like the Sam/Mikaela storyline, the dirty humping jokes and all the Megan Fox gratuity shots.

I feel that if they cut on most of the (repeated) "you say I love you first" storyline, Megan Fox and the dirty jokes, this movie would have been at least half an hour shorter. It really didn't do much to drive the plot. It really slowed down the whole movie. It had this very exciting start, but then it just had this... lull. The Sam/Mikaela, Megan Fox parts really just bored me to tears and the only time I really felt disappointed in this movie.

Compared to the first one though, I still can't decide which I like better. Action-wise, I think this one definitely takes the cake. Plot-wise and acting-wise, I think I like the first one better.

The plot in the first film was more ... condensed. No real slow parts. It's snap, snap, snap. Not a lot of gratuitous Megan Fox shots. Only that one scene after the Lake part... there was more flow to it.

Also, I don't think there's a part in the 2nd film that can compete with my favorite parts in the first movie: Scorponok Attack and Soccent Base Attack..... Those two scenes were excellent in terms of just the combination of action, script, plot and score.

Anyway, I got what I came for when watching TF2, so I can't complain.

Other than that, I have been kept busy by watching Merlin.

I finished all 13 episodes and my gosh! It's amazing! I can't wait for the 13th season.

I love both Arthur and Merlin... and it's kind of shocking.. I think they're the first two male characters that I can willingly ship together in a while! O_O!

I don't normally like slash, but I love the friendship between Arthur and Merlin... how both of them are willing to give up their life for the other.

... That and I feel both the female leads are kind of weak. :P I guess Morgana is okay... she has her moments... but Guinevere... I'm having a hard time believing she will one day be queen. I admit the concept of Guinevere being a servant was intriguing, and I was so excited to see how that would play out in the beginning... with Arthur being arrogant and Gwen not really liking him much, but as episodes go on, Gwen is just so... bland and flat. I can't find a reason to like her.

It's sort of the same with Morgana. The sexual tension between her and Arthur intrigued me at first, but then... that was really it. At least she has that whole "seer" thing going for her character that makes her interesting.

maybe it's their acting or something that I just don't feel? :P

Oh well, Arthur and Merlin keeps me more than satisfied.

After much flip flopping, I decided to go with CPSC 430: Computers and Society instead of ANAT 390, although I did register for ANAT 390 this morning.

After talking to coworkers and friends who has taken CPSC 430, they all pretty much said that it's a good GPA booster and the topics are actually pretty interesting. Add to it the fact that the prof who teaches it this semester is one of my favorite profs, I was pretty much sold into switching to this course.

What's even better? I HAVE MONDAY, WEDNESDAY AND FRIDAYS OFF SCHOOL!!!! *dances*

Okay. I won't have those days fully off, since I obviously will have work, but still!!! LONG WEEKENDS!!!!!

Time to register for (possibly) the last course I will ever have to take in my undergraduate college life. I need 3 more credits to complete my "Upper Level Science" credit and I'm choosing between these two courses:

ANAT 390: Introduction to Microscopic Human Anatomy
Organ system development, structure and function at the microscopic level.

CPSC 430: Computers and Society
Impact of computer technology on society; historical perspectives; social and economic consequences of large-scale information processing systems and automatic control; legal and ethical problems in computer applications. Computers and the individual: machine versus human capabilities, fact and fancy; problematic interface between man and machine.

ANAT 390 is a more interesting subject to me, however, it involves a LOT of memorization and the exams are mostly in multiple choice. I've been reading reviews on ratemyprofessor.ca about the prof teaching this class and he apparently pulls out very tricky multiple choice questions, but he is otherwise getting positive reviews there.

As for CPSC 430, the class is simpler in terms of course work. It's mostly based on your opinion, I think, but I'm not so interested in it. I already know the Prof, and I love that prof.. she's awesome. But I don't really know if I want to take it...........

:( On the other hand, I really just want to take the course that's the easiest since this is an ELECTIVE class, and the only reason it's required is so I complete those requirements. I'm really just looking for an "easy pass" course.

The other options suggested was Atmospheric Chemistry (seriously, my friends do not know me at all. I hate Chem, but apparently this course is super easy, but only available in Term 2) and Earth and Ocean Sciences: Intro to Oceanography.

Riiiiight.

The one thing that sucks about having an iPhone with a data plan subscription and having a song stuck in your head at the most random moments of the day?

It conveniently has iTunes for you to purchase said songs once you find out what song it was that's looping in your head.

I ended up downloading Rammstein's Mein Herz Brennt because it's the song that was used on the Hellboy 2 trailer AND I CAN'T GET IT OUT OF MY HEAD FOR SOME REASON, so I ended up hunting it down at work and buying it off iTunes as soon as I found it. I also bought TI's Whatever You Like because it came on the radio as Henry was driving me to the bus stop and it won't stop playing in my head from then on.

*sigh* I always do this. And my wallet cries some more.

Also, I was told I needed to be checked into a Psychiatric facility by a coworker because I exclaimed "OLSON'S GONE SIR" in a Russian accent so randomly.

I told Geoff it wasn't so random since I was dealing with a customer whose last name had "Olson" on it and that scene in the Star Trek movie just popped into my head, but he didn't believe me and said I should be checked in anyway.

*dies*

Sometimes, it amazes me how immature my coworkers and I can be. It's even sadder to think that we're all at least 23 years of age and this is the way we operate.

I was planning the workplace's movie night to watch Transformers for July, and when asking for what we should do for dinner (all you can eat korean bbq, sushi or hot pot), Emily suggested that we go for all you can eat korean bbq for lunch instead, then go in to the movie theatre smelling like meat, charcoal smoke and BBQ marinade and annoy the rest of our fellow viewers.

After hearing this, we pretty much were all going:

"MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA LET'S DO THIS"
"OHHH THE SMELL OF MEEAAAAAAAAAATTT"
"IT WILL SMELL LIKE HEAVEN FOR HANNAH!!"
"WE CAN GO TO ALL YOU CAN EAT SUSHI AFTER THE MOVIE RIGHT?"
"THEY WILL HATE US"
"BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA"
"GENIUS!!"

yeah. I know. genius. And slightly evil. The PETA-actives in the crowd would surely find us and murder us after.

LOL Another stupid thing. Tom and I were going to take photos of each other so it would appear on our respective phones as our "Contact Photo". As we were about to do this, our supervisor walked in, so we stopped and pretended to work.

Since Henry was pretty much just working on one of the computers upstairs, Tom said loudly, "I wish Henry would leave soon, so we can finish what we were doing." Then he started laughing, and then Emily and I started laughing cause he was laughing. And then all of us continued laughing, in a purely evil/sadistic tone of "MWAHAHAHAHAHA MWAAAAAAAHAHAHAHA" and Henry was like "What the heck is going on?"

LOL.

Okay. That's it from me today.
